Depends: Tooth color is affected by extrinsic (staining) factors as well as intrinsic (base colour of tooth changing over time) ones. A good professional cleaning followed up by good home care addresses the first issue and tooth bleaching may address the second issue if there aren't too many dental restorations. Some teeth darken with age and previously devitalized teeth can get very dark.

Tooth color: is affected by staining and base colour of tooth changing over time with aging. Professional tooth whitening is extremely effective, and can last as long as five years with proper care.
