A member asked:

My husband wakes up in the middle of the night with leg cramps. how can he get rid of them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

He needs to be seen: and properly evaluated and diagnosed, so treatment could be started for him. The reasons for his pain might be from his spine, hip or Sacroiliac joint, Knee joint; or a nerve lesions like Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome (like Carpal T in hands), where pain from the foot gets referred to the leg/calf. It might be the Charlie Horse. Without being evaluated it will be difficult to get rid of it. Good Luck.
