Exam,X-ray: See the Orthopedic surgeon for examination and x-ray. Or, go to the E.R. and have them do the same. E.R. may be faster, but more costly. You may have an Urgent Care type facility nearby that can do the same, but not likely an Orthopedic surgeon on staff. However, if it is broken the diagnosis may not require that level of training, though the tx. might. Good Luck. Get it checked.

Comprehensive exam: by your PCP. 1. Patient history; 2. Physical examination; 3. Diagnostic tests and imaging; 4. Referral to a specialist.
