Not sure about that: Pradaxa is not commonly thought to CAUSE kidney disease. It however needs to be used carefully in patients with kidney disease as Pradaxa levels can get to harmful levels increasing the chance of bleeding. If Pradaxa is causing kidney failure, something called acute interstitial nephritis (allergic), you would stop the medication and refer to a nephrologist.
