What kind of specialist should see a person with very low cholesterol?

Internist: There is no evidence that a low cholesterol is a cause of any medical issues. Some chronically ill patients may have a low cholesterol but it can also be found in healthy people. It is worthwhile to have a complete physical to exclude any underlying disease.
