Suportive: Patient and relatives are affected . Relative support is so different: some are active, doing everything. Others are detached, passive. How you act depends on your personality, and view of the cancer patient. Some are afraid, other are not. Talk to friends, clergy, social worker, nurses and oncologist for advice. Cancer clinics usually have brochures, and office to help you with your needs.

Absolutely: Faith, prayer is always important. Sometimes there are miracles(things we cannot explain). Praying helps the soul, the mind and the body. Even if a loved one succumbs to cancer, you will feel much better and stronger if your mind is at peace (praying can help with your inner peace).

Depends: It will depend on so many factors - the type of cancer, the stage of cancer, the biology/other prognostic/predictive factors; type of treatments, your respond to therapy, your overall medical condition etc.
Some cancer can be cured thus the life expectancy will be similar to other people who dont have cancer.
