Yes and yes: We do use various self reporting pain scales like 1 - 10 to measure pain even though the diffuse pain from fibromyalgia may be vague and hard to put a number on it. Changes in barometric pressure and extreme cold may affect pain levels. Maybe cold isn't the problem for you in Texas though. Good luck.

Yes: Weather does affect fibromyalgia pain. Low pressure fronts enable the sausage package of the body to expand; thereby causing joints to loosen; placing increased bio-mechanical strain on ligaments of joints increasingly loosened. Ligaments are highly imbued with pain transducers stimulated by stretch.
