DM constipation: DM can cause gastroparesis which is delayed stomach emptying due to neuropathy from diabetes (small vessel damage). Likely the same process that underlies constipation which is a common complaint in DM. Weight loss in DM may occur with some meds (metformin ,Byetta,Victoza (liraglutide) and Canagliflozin) andifone is on a healthy diet . Follow up with your doctor
