Rhythms: The differences are often based on people's natural wake-sleep cycles: some persons' are shifted so that they up early(early birds) and some shifted so that they sleep late(night owls). To a certain extent, your sleep habits can be regimented so as to shift you from an early bird to night owl and vice versa. In the end, neither is intrinsically better, just different.
