"boils": "Boils" are small abcesses, and even if opened for drainage, can "close over" and interrupt healing. Proper surveillance and cleansing is important in management. Frequent squeezing of the area may produce bruising, but this should resolve over time if the infection is treated effectively. Your dermatologist will be able to ease any concern.
