Eat fruit: you need to have more fibers in your diet you need to stay hydrated by drinking juices and a lot of water soda ,caffeine, pop,beer are not fluid you need to eat more fruits and exercise to keep your bowel more regular and easy to manage good luck

GI consultation: Sounds like constipation. I suggest hydration with 8-10 8oz. glasses of water/day with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Ask you pharmacist about an osmotic laxative such as Miralax (polyethylene glycol) and get a GI exam and consultation.
