Not really: If you have COPD with low oxygen levels you may develop an enlarged heart. This weakened heart can cause symptoms of swelling in the legs and feet as well as shortness of breath on top of your underlying COPD. If you have more than just moderate COPD or are using oxygen or need to be using oxygen, check with your primary care doctor and you may need additional testing such as an echocardiogram.
