MdDS: Mal de debarquement (disembarkment syndrome) Historically is related to getting off a boat after a cruise, but it can happen with other sustained motion event such as a car. I'm not sure why you would know about this very rare condition and believe you have it. I would recommend consulting a neurologist but suspect that your doctor is likely correct about your anxiety disorder & hypochondria.

It is statistically: more likely that your lightheadedness is caused by anxiety. Your allergies and stuffed nose add to that probability. Here's a link to the MDDS Foundation http://www.mddsfoundation.org/ Stay in touch w/your doctor and don't rely on medication alone for your anxiety. See Herbert Benson's book "The Relaxation Response." Peace and good health.
