Other meds used for cough include: guaifenesin (expectorant), dextromethorphan (cough suppressant), and benzonatate (rx anesthetic that reduces cough reflex). Pure Cough Preps: Robitussin DM (guaifenesin and dextromethorphan) and Delsym have guanefesin and dextromthorphan. These are not antihistamines.
