A member asked:

I'm currently in hospital and my doctors are advising me that my staph infection is in my actual lymph node. they want to remove my groin lymph node.

Staph aureus: If there is an abscess in your groin they may want to drain this. Staphylococcal infection localized to an inguinal lymph node is a very unusual situation. Since cannot see and examine you and have access to all findings there is no way to comment intelligently on the steps planned by your doctors. Good luck,
