Pharyngitis: This may be a viral or bacterial pharyngitis. If symptoms worsen after taking over the counter NSAIDs then see your doctor.

Sore throat: You can get this feeling from GERD which is reflux or stomach acid coming up to the back of your throat and this can make you cough. Stay away from spicy foods, tomato sauce, and you need to be careful with the amounts of NSAIDs you are taking. You can take Pepcid (famotidine) complete to help with the symptoms. Also avoid laying down or reclining for at least 2 hrs after eating or drinking.No alcohol or smok
