Soreness: Most likely soreness from the injection or pushing the cheek out of the way to perform the procedure.

Abscess: If you had a toothache that spontaneously stopped but now your cheek is sore, you likely have an abscessed tooth. The nerve can die and the pain can subside. However, if infection is present, the it can cause the cheek and surrounding perodontium (gums and bone) to be sore.

Infection: Because the infection in the tooth has probably now spread to your jaw bone and surrounding muscles. This will only get worse and may be life threatening. Get help now!
