Depends: How deep under the skin the liver is depends upon the person and how much of a fat layer they have. The liver lives just under the right ribs so you would need to go up under the ribs or between them to get to the liver.

Feels like inner movement left side of abdomen mostly upper left quadrant. Very deep under the skin yet tickles to the point i need to laugh. No pain.
