Get examined: and certainly get a thyroid ultrasound, scan and thyroid function studies performed.Get an immediate medical evaluation.

Your thyroid?: Hi. Women generally don't have a whole lot going for an Adam's apple. Are you sure what you're feeling isn't your thyroid? The thyroid can get inflamed and enlarged and tender (a condition called a painful thyroiditis). Without the ability to examine you, I can't say. Not a bad idea to see your doctor. FYI, painful thyroiditis usually gets better on its own, but may go thru phases of dysfunction
