A member asked:

What is this pain in buttock? could it be from gluts not getting workout while i was on strict diet?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: Pain in the buttock radiating down the back of the leg could be related to the sciatic nerve. Or it could simply be a muscle strain or pull. If you continue to have severe pain, and especially if it starts to be associated with any numbness or weakness in your leg, see your doctor soon. Not working out may cause muscle soreness when you start to work out again, but should not cause pain.
