Yes: Great idea to wait till 6 months, you can even wait longer. Breast feeding is ultimately the best nutrition for an infant because of immunity it provides, as well as many other advantages. Babies who are breast fed longer, tend not to be obese as time goes on. No need to rush into formula or feedings.

Breastfeeding: Do NOT start to wean your baby. It is not uncommon for breastfed babies to be a little higher on the growth curve. Breast milk is the perfect food for the first year of life, would not consider weaning before 6 months.
