Clarification: If you are saying that an ultrasound was done that showed an 8 week size fetus without a heartbeat then this indicates a miscarriage. A heartbeat should be visible around the 6 week mark. Clarify with the treating an obgyn. A very clear plan should have been discussed with you when the sonogram was done.
