A member asked:

Bilirubin was high on last exam - 70% indirect, 30% direct. does ratio sound like anything?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need actual values: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would help to have the actual values. 70% indirect and 30% direct per se are not a problem. If you total bilirubin is higher than 1.2 mg/dL, it would be worth looking into it further.
