Ice and rest: The best thing for you is to elevate your foot and put an ice bag on it for 15 to 20 minutes a few times during the day. It may take 4 to 6 weeks to completely heal so be careful when you walk that you do not twist it again as you will do much more damage to the structures. Do not use heat on it at this point as this will cause undo swelling.
