See your OB GYN: Many factors can cause dysfunctional bleeding that are treatable and not a cause for serious concern. Where you are in your menstrual cycle and your age are very important in deciding the cause. Use of IUD, certain meds, birth control pills, recent sexual activity, can all play into a cause for bleeding that is treatable. Make an appointment ASAP with you OB and get some good answers, don't worry!
