Many: Comminly hemorrhoidS or fissures could cause bleeding but there other things as well. Please talk to your doctor to sort out the cause.

Several: diverticula, rectal lining tears, hemorrhoids, colitis, polyps and most worrisome tumors. If having bright red blood per rectum it should be checked by your physician to find the exact etiology. So you can relax and not worry.
