Generally not used: Generally decongestants are not recommended in children younger than age 4-6 because of the potential for side effects. If your child is having allergic congestion you should check with your doctor about meds, but a tsp of benadryl, (diphenhydramine) or 1 tsp of loratidine, the anti histamine in lorinase would be ok. But check with your doctor saline nose sprays can also aid in combating nasal congestion
