Could be normal: It can take quite a while for your body to become accustomed to your intrauterine device. I usually prepare patients for 3-6 months of irregular bleeding (in between periods). It could be heavier or lighter depending on the type of IUD you have. Discharge can be normal too. However, increasing pain, fever, and foul odor are signs of infection and need attention right away!
