A member asked:

Had flu shot thurs. evening. since friday, low grade fever, exhaustion, nauseous, mild cramps, slight headache. is this a side effect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Immune response: What you are describing as side effects of the flu shot, could be interpreted as your immune system successfully responding to the flu vaccine, so your body will be ready if and when it is exposed to the live flu virus. These symptoms usually go away in a day or so. Or you may be coming down with an unrelated virus that you were exposed to a week or so ago, which is not related to the shot.
