Depends: Some pregnancy tests can be very sensitive, detecting pregnancy as early as one week after ovulation fora blood test, which is before the period has been missed. Urine tests take a bit longer to become positive. If using a home urine test kit- check the label description. The hormone checked in a pregnancy test- HCG- remains high throughout the pregnancy.

10-12 days: Once the egg is fertilized, it takes about a week for implantation in the uterus. That's when the production of the pregnancy hormone hCG begins, and in 3-4 days after implantation a sensitive blood test will be positive. The pregnancy test will remain + throughout the pregnancy.
