10-12 days: Once the egg is fertilized, it takes about a week for implantation in the uterus. That's when the production of the pregnancy hormone hCG begins, and in 3-4 days after implantation a sensitive blood test will be positive. The pregnancy test will remain + throughout the pregnancy.
