Your impinging one: of your nerves (Pinched nerve) and need to get out of pain in case your neck muscles is going into spasm. I would not try to stand or walk lying may be more comfortable to minimize pressure on your spine. If your pain is higher than 7/10 on a pain analogue scale, you need to go to an urgent care/ER for treatment to get out of pain.If much les pain, cold compress, NSAIDs, cervical collar may help.
