Re-evaluate neck: It usually is not normal to have pain almost daily after a cervical fusion 5 years later. If it is significant pain, then it needs to be re-evaluated. X-rays may need to be taken with the neck flexed forward and also extended backward. Additional testing may be needed depending on exam findings and possibly the x-ray results.

Shouldn't Have Pain: You should not have persistent pain after your fusion. It could be a problem at the site of the fusion C4-5 or it could be a problem at the levels above and below the fusion. In either case it should be checked.
