No restrictions: unless your doctor feels you need to have a lifting restriction. C5 bulging can mean a lot of different things. If you have weakness of your biceps, deltoid or supraspinatus muscles from C5 or C6 nerve root impingement I'd place restrictions and plan a rehab program if surgery is not indicated. If you have had neurological symptoms for more than 2 weeks I'd get an EMG to check for denervation.
