MRI?: Degenerative disease is present usually with aging. Osteophytes are part of this bony process. The bulging referred to are likely discs and are pushing into the area of the spinal canal. This may need treatment. Talk to a neurosurgeon about these results and the best care. All the best.

Is this your neck?: At age 29, would be very surprised if you had degenerative disc disease with osteophytes, but the films are read as showing a contact with the thecal sac, but not the spinal cord. May or may not correlate with symptoms.
