A member asked:

I have in my mri (a) right periventricular white matter chronic tiny infarcts (b) prominent right superior ophthalmic vein. is it serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

White matter disease: Longstanding cerebral small vessel disease (due, for example, to diabetes, rare genetic conditions, uncontrolled hypertension, stroke) can be interpreted as white matter disease, less commonly as tiny infarcts. Controlling your risk factors for small vessel disease is the best prevention. See your physician for further discussion. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3714437/
