Unwanted cells: At cataract surgery, removal of all human lens cells is attempted. However, occasionally some are left behind and become attached to the human structure (capsule) left behind to hold the implants. They grow and multiply, eventually clouding the light pathway. This is remedied by a yag laser capsulotomy, a simple, safe procedure to open the clouded capsule. Vision should be restored if all else ok!
