Is Not Safe: Re-use of bottled breast milk from a prior feeding is not considered a safe practice. There is risk of bacterial contamination with serious consequences in babies. Additionally, deterioration of beneficial nutrients occurs. To eliminate waste, add to bottle normal amount of milk your baby consumes plus 1-2 oz extra to allow for increase in appetite as baby grows & day-to-day hunger patterns.
