A good exam: and history will often enable doctors to determine whether your symptoms are due to a dissection of the aorta or not. I don't think you should tell the doctors anything except for your symptoms, how long you have had them and what things make it better or worse. Let your doctors use judgement whether or not you need any further testing. They may have already looked at your aorta during the echo
