Ear: You really need to check it out as soon as possible. It may just be wax but it also might be a sudden hearing loss which requires treatment with steroids as soon as possible.

Hearing loss: It depends on what was going on and how you were feeling before these symptoms. If you were exposed to very loud noise, you have threshold shift and will likely gradually improve. If you cannot hear and you had trauma, you may need surgery. If you had an infection or URI, may need antibiotics or steroids. It all depends on the extent and what you mean by "hearing loss".
