Get it checked: There are many possibilities for what this could be. Good idea to have it looked at. A common reason could be baker's cyst - these often don't cause symptoms but can burst and cause pain or get irritating. Joint swelling due to injury or bursitis can cause pain. Vascular issues at the back of the knee can also cause pain - ultrasound can be helpful in evaluating these.
