Fever with Flagyl: Persistent fever with metronidazole (FLAGYL) would not be considered to be normal. However, one should also consider the fever trend if the fever curve or trend is downward, I would be less concerned. If there the fever does not trend downwards or subsides within 5 days or so, that would be a signal to contact your doctor or the doctor who prescribed the flagyl.
