Get it checked out.: Most chest pain in young people is not cardiac related, but only after an exam and possible EKG and blood work can that be confirmed. If you are still having pain, please go to Urgent Care now. If pain has passed, make an appointment with your doctor to have your lipids checked. Most heart attacks in people under 50 are related to elevated blood lipids.

Chest pain: Go to the ER if this is an acute symptom. It is rare for young people to have a heart attack, unless they have a congenital condition, significant risk factors, or have used cocaine which is the #1 cause of heart attacks and sudden death in young adults. For your peace of mind, get an evaluation and electrocardiogram.
