Ovulation bleeding: Some women do experience spotting/bleeding for a day or two at the time they ovulate. Estrogen hormone levels that have been built up by the growing follicle, from the egg popping out of the follicle dip just enough to destabilize the inner lining of the uterus to make it shed - hence the bleeding. Within 24 hours, estrogen productions is restored to previous levels and stabilize the inner lining.
