Avoid simple sugars: Focus on a diet that involves minimal added sugar or things like high fructose corn syrup. If you are a diabetic you should focus on a colorful diet involving mostly vegetables and to a lesser extent fruit and lean proteins. When eating carbohydrates focus on whole grains. Remember not only do you want to avoid excess sugars but you want to control your weight too. Seek a nutritionist too.
