Specific Learning Disabilities in academic subjects are diagnosed in kids with an average to above-average IQ. Intellectual Disability, diagnosed in school-age kids with persistent cognitive & adaptive delays, requires both psychoeducational & medical evaluation to determine Special Educational Needs.
