Yes: however other conditions can cause your symptoms too. Lactose intolerance can develop in later years, as can some infectious diseases. Spastic colon is often a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning you need to rule out other causes before coming to your diagnosis. It's always a good idea to get an exam and confirm the diagnosis with your physician.
