May be a crack: Your tooth could be suffering from a crack in it. Teeth can get cracks even from small silver fillings. Schedule a visit with your dentist as soon as possible to have it checked. Waiting could lead to worsening pain and possibly losing your tooth.

See your dentist: When was the last time the dentist evaluated this tooth? Is this a new restoration? Is this an area that has not been checked in a while? There are many variables, have the dentist do a complete clinical and radiographic examination for a true diagnosis.

Small Filling: Small fillings can be deceiving. There may be leakage around that small filling, resulting in a cavity underneath and major pain. Could be a fractured tooth, too. But why wait in agony? Call a local dentist for an appointment.
