A member asked:

Does taking clomid (clomiphene) or clomiphene increase the risk of miscarriage, and the risk of having c-section if i have twins?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clomid (clomiphene) complications: Clomid (clomiphene) increases the risk of multiple eggs during induced ovulation, and some of those eggs that get fertilized often have an abnormal genetic composition resulting sometimes resulting in "miscarriage". Any twin gestation can have breech presentation at labor with the need for C/S for safe delivery. However, Clomid (clomiphene) also can produce pregnancies in those who otherwise couldn't get pregnant.
