How high a fever?: If your body temperature is very high, you need emergency care. If fever is only mild, please proceed with your HIDA scan to assess gallbladder function and put that issue either to rest or get it treated.

Clinical problem?: If the problem is related to suspicion for acute cholecystitis, than it is an emergency and scan usually performed acutely. If unrelated to acute problem but is related to chronic abdominal pain probably can either have scan or wait until feeling better.
