Dyspepsia: also known as "heartburn" OK to use OTC antacidis and omperazole if not allergic to these medications. I suggest a thorough physical examination and blood testing.

Many possibilities: Odd sensation but abdominal pain of burning nature if in upper area could be gastritis/heartburn. If lower down you need to consider a hernia or even an infection of the epididymis (beginning of the spermatic cord). If it just started and is only on one side of his abdomen, a nerve irritation from shingles is possible, but expect a rash soon (within a few days). I would see an MD for an exam.
